Today, I give a reflection about the feast day of Christ the King.  Over the years, I find myself growing more in love with this feast.  Looking at the readings for that feast I see a beautiful unfolding of the paschal mystery which helps us to understand Christ as OUR king.  I offer those thoughts to you. I reflect upon an article from the November issue of First Things .  The article was called Reclaiming the Household by Prof. John Cuddeback.  He is a philosophy professor at Christendom College.  Here is a link to his website https://baconfromacorns.com/ . My mind and heart are stewing a lot on the story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath.  This was a reading that we had at the Mass on Sunday.  In a way, I think we need to have the disposition of the widow because we are the widow.  I talk about that insight today and the dangers of feeling we are owed things from others and God.
