The Frank Friar - Episode 70: Splinters from the Cross

My heart is heavy right now. I find myself with the cross more and more, particularly the times during my life in Carmel, when I was called to help another with their cross. These are a few thoughts about splinters I have received from the cross. Also, I offer some insights about the need for us to ponder these splinters. The Frank Friar - Episode 68: Being a Giant Man on a Plane

I will be traveling to California soon for a vocation conference. Of course, I will be taking a plane to make it to California. However, whenever I travel on a plane I always get looks, etc. Why? Because I am 6’5” and 300lbs. I am a giant of a man. My journey through Carmel has helped me to grow in Christian Charity, that has helped me to better respond to these ‘slivers of the Cross’ moments. The episode today is a my story of growth. The Frank Friar - Episode 67: Learning from Nicodemus

John 3 offers us a beautiful and rich encounter between Nicodemus and Christ. The journey of Nicodemus throughout John’s Gospel is a real movement from darkness into light. His movement between the two architypes, is something we our selves go through as a disciple of our Lord. What can Nicodemus (and the readings of the 4th Sunday of Lent) help us to grow in our discipleship? If you like my podcast please make sure to subscribe to the podcast it really does help me.
